Achieving a healthier complexion with Sciton BBL Hero in Philadelphia is now within your reach. This powerful device can address skin issues caused by sun damage and aging. If you want to rejuvenate your skin, innovative intense pulsed light (IPL) technology can bring out your youthful glow.

What Is Sciton BBL Hero?

The Sciton BBL Hero is the world’s most powerful IPL device. BBL stands for Broad Band Light, and Hero is an acronym for High Energy Rapid Output. The Hero component is the latest revolutionary technology from Sciton and is added to the BBL handpiece. This allows it to deliver results quickly and efficiently on any part of the body.

This device is used for eliminating sun and age spots, blemishes, acne scars, and deeper lesions. It can also be used for removing unwanted hair in different areas of the body. It delivers light energy uniformly and with precision for quicker treatment times and better results. It can treat skin problems on the face, neck, chest, arms, and legs.

What Is the Difference Between IPL and BBL?

IPL uses a single focused beam of intense light. BBL is a more advanced form of IPL therapy and uses multiple wavelengths of light to target skin problems. The broad capabilities of BBL allow it to treat a wider variety of skin types than IPL. BBL’s relative safety and efficacy set it apart from other forms of light therapy.

Ideal Candidates for Sciton BBL Hero

If you want to reduce the appearance of dark spots, age spots, and freckles, you may be an ideal candidate for IPL treatment with Sciton BBL Hero. You can also undergo this treatment if you are looking for hair removal for your back, arms, or underarms. It can also reduce the appearance of your acne, broken veins on your cheeks, and even birthmarks.

Best results are achieved for patients with fair, untanned skin. However, a Smart Filter setting is also available for darker skin types. If you are pregnant, you may not be able to undergo this treatment.

FAQ’s

Your Consultation
To determine if Sciton BBL Hero treatment is right for you, a consultation with Dr. Tina Ho and her aesthetician colleagues will be necessary. Dr. Ho will ask you about your concerns and expected outcome in order to formulate the best treatment approach for your skin issues. You might be advised to avoid activities such as sun exposure, tanning, chemical peels, and collagen injections before treatment.
The Procedure
The first step in your BBL Hero treatment is cleansing and sanitizing the target areas. While most people can tolerate the sensation of warmth during treatment, you can ask about numbing creams if your skin is sensitive. You might be asked to wear goggles to shield your eyes from the pulses of light.

Similar to other IPL treatments, you might feel a slight sting when the light is applied on your target areas. Depending on the areas being treated, the whole procedure can take 20 to 30 minutes.

The number of sessions required to achieve the best results depends on your specific skin concerns. A minimum of 3 sessions are needed, and they must be spaced a month apart to see results.

Aftercare
There is no significant recovery period needed after the procedure, but your skin will temporarily appear sunburnt and red. There is no downtime required. You will be asked to keep away from the sun for the next two weeks, and you must be very consistent with your sunscreen application.

There may be some discoloration a few days after your treatment, but this should disappear in no time. As healthy undamaged cells grow in the skin layer, patients begin to experience a clearer complexion.

How Much Does a Sciton BBL Hero Treatment Cost?
The cost of your Sciton BBL Hero treatment will depend on the extent of work that needs to be done and the size of the target area/s. The total price might also include the number of sessions needed to get the results you want.
